Scott Olsen lives in Moorhead, Minnesota, with his wife Maureen and two children, Kate and Andrew. An associate professor of English at Concordia College, Olsen is the editor of the literary magazine Ascent. He is the author of Just This Side of Fargo (Ironwood Press, 1992), Meeting the Neighbors (Northstar Press of St. Cloud, 1993) and Acts of Illuminations (St. Mary's University Press, 1996). With Scott Cairns, he co-edited The Sacred Place (University of Utah Press, 1996) and is one of four authors who collaborated to create When We Say We're Home (University of Utah Press, 1999).
