Campus Cat Colony
Although cats are thought of as solitary creatures, some ferals bond with each other to form colonies around a reliable food supply. Colonies are generally peaceful when all inhabitants are neutered. Colony cats may or may not be related to each other. For example, Butter and Bashful are actual litter mates, while Patches “adopted” Thomasina as a young kitten. Their relationships are evident in their dining arrangements, as well as the company they keep.
