Subject: Squeaks Update

Don't let this moment of stillness fool you; Squeaks is still the world's most playful kitten, as my cats will attest. She passed her combo test this weekend and got her second set of vaccinations. She has a spay date on July 1, and then we hope she will have her permanent home. She is a charmer. Thanks for your support.

The six felines last seen in traps in the Catmobile are back home, forever free from endless reproduction. Happy Independence Day!

Subject: Cat at Work

Skinny, the official greeter cat, was at his post at 7AM. Wonder if he would take the early shift as Commons Greeter? It's a desk job.

Subject: Lucy Needs a Home

Lucy was a little apprehensive when she heard she was getting "fixed." Now she can't remember what the fuss was about. (Oh, to have the healing ability of kittens!) Lucy is adoption-ready and eager to get her forever home. Please spread the word. Thanks for your support.

Subject: Lucky Lucy

Lucy was accepted into the no-kill Stray Cat Adoption Program at Petsmart! When I left her there, her calm temperament and good looks were already creating a buzz. Many thanks to the Lucio humans and cats for excellent fostering and to our friends at S.C.A.T. for providing an adoption venue for this little sweetie. Thanks for your support.

Subject: New Cat

This morning I encountered this cat at Charles Francis. The tabby is ear-tipped, hence fixed, and is wearing a yellow breakaway collar with a bell. It is very friendly and hungry. I donít know if it just wandered on to campus or was dumped. Any ideas? Thanks for your support.

Subject: Updae on Cat with Collar

This morning I took Maggie, the ear-tipped, spayed cat with a collar, to the vet to look for a microchip. Alas, no chip was found, so it looks like Maggie will be a campus cat unless we can find her a home. She is tame and friendly and freshly vaccinated. Please share her picture. (By the way, I removed the collar.) Thanks for your support.

Subject: Squeaks Has a Home!

Happy news--Professor Pat Owen (Psychology) has adopted Squeaks! The little tortie was first rescued from under a car by Rebecca Rutledge (Civic Engagement & Career Development Center) and then fostered at the Cutting-Byrd Institute for Kitten Advancement. Pat reports that Squeaks is very playful and interested in computers (see Pat's attached photo.) Thanks to Rebecca, our fosters, and Pat for getting Squeaks her forever home. Thanks for your support.
