Subject: Meet Mellow

The aptly-named Mellow was rescued by Dougherty Hall students and soon had a home. Adopted by the very mellow Stephanie Keys (Blume Library Weekend Supervisor), the young tortie joins Happy, an earlier For Paws adoptee. “ Double your pleasure, double your fun; adopt two For Paw cats instead of just one!” Thanks for your support.

Subject: It's Raining Torties!

Tootsie is the second young tortie found on campus this week. She was spayed and vaccinated yesterday and is quite tame and sweet. She really deserves a good home, so please share her story. Thanks for your support.

Subject: Monday, Monday

Tootsie, the latest tortie, was adopted Friday by a Northwest Vista prof who has been a long-time For Paws friends and supporter. Two adoptions in one week-yay! The sad news is that a neighbor cat was not so lucky. Early Friday morning I got a call from university police about a severely injured cat at the Marianist Residence. A dog had bitten through the cat's spine, leaving her unable to move her back legs. I was able to get her into a carrier and then to the vet where she was humanely euthanized.
While I'm sad about that cat, I'm glad we could end her suffering and very grateful to our police for their proactive, compassionate concern for the cats. If you get a chance, please let Chief David Ott know you appreciate the police department's cat-friendly attitude. Thanks for your support.

Subject: Meet Skinny

Skinny, a three-year-old tom cat, showed up at the Blume feeding station Friday, was neutered on Saturday, and was back on campus Sunday morning. He’s very thin and has a large abscess at the base of his tail—the result of a cat bite, but the residents cats are accepting him so far. He’s a very talkative, friendly cat with humans. So give him a pet if you see him. Thanks for your support.

Subject: Skinny Needs a Home

Skinny is walking and talking all over campus, accosting total strangers to ask for a home. Please share Skinny's pictures and story with possible adopters. He's neutered, vaccinated, loving, and very people-dependent. Thanks!

Freddie has been fostered at the Lucio Institute for Kitten Socialization and has been around lots of cats, kids, and adults. Freddie loves to play and is an easy-going fellow. Please share his story. Thanks for your support.
