First Follow-up. ED 1.334/2:P 84/2000/CD. Specialized software is also used to access the data on this CD. The documentation can be viewed with Adobe Acrobat; the file is DASWHELP.PDF.
Eisenhower National Clearinghouse for Math and Science Education. ED 1.340/3: . This CD contains files in HTML format and Quicktime video. To view, click on a browser icon, choose FILE and OPEN PAGE. Fathers' Involvement in Children's Learning. ED 1.83:F 26/CD. This CD contains files in PowerPoint, QuickTime and PDF formats. All but the PowerPoint files may be viewed on the computers near the Reference Desk. To see a file menu, click on the Netscape icon, choose FILE and OPEN PAGE. In the location box, type MENU.HTML.

NAEP 1997 Arts Report Card. ED 1.334/2:AR 7/CD. Although some material on the CD may be viewed using Adobe Acrobat software, much more requires special software. Thus, viewing on the computers near the Reference Desk is not recommended.

Parnership for Family Involvement in Education. ED 1.83:P 25/CD, P 25/2/CD. Presentation Materials and Teacher & Administrator Preparation Kit. These CDs contain files in a variety of formats. Those in HTML and Quicktime may be viewed on the computers near the Reference Desk by clicking on the Netscape icon, choosing Open Page from the File menu, and selecting one of the available files. Some files are in Word word processing format and these may be read on the workstation by clicking on the Wordpad icon and opening one of the available files. Other files, in some other formats, may not be viewed on the computers near the Reference Desk.

Video Examples from the TIMSS Videotape Classroom Study. ED 1.334/2:M 42/CD. 1998. This CD contains Quicktime video and may be previewed on the computers near the Reference Desk by open the file INDEX.HTM in any web browser.
NOTE: These CDs may only be checked out by St. Mary's users (or by other college students/faculty/staff with a Texshare card) or by special arrangement with the Documents Librarian. The CDs have been tested only minimally by the Library staff, and we cannot provide technical support in their use. The Reference Librarians can help you find a source for technical support, if that information is not given with the CD, or contact the Documents Librarian for further information.
These CDs are kept in the office, in filing cabinets in the Documents area, filed by Superintent of Documents classification number (given with each title). You might not be able to check out a CD if you come to the library in the evening or on a weekend when the Documents Librarian is not in. If you need to use a CD the best thing to do is to contact the Documents Librarian in advance and the CD can be left at the Reference Desk for you to check out.
