Hi! I am Kathy Amen, the Government Information Librarian at the St. Mary's
University Blume Library. I have been in this position since
1978.My schedule
is somewhat irregular, due to the fact that I work only 30 hours per week
and pull some evening and Saturday Reference Desk duty. If you need consult
with me about a government information problem, you can send me
an email message at
kamen@stmarytx.edu or leave a message
on my voice mail at (210) 431-2299, ext. 1312.
The Library is open to the general public and all government publications may be used on-site by anyone. Electronic government information resources are also available to all; access to computers may be restricted at certain very busy times to ensure that our students, faculty and staff are able to do university-related work. Email and phone reference is provided for anyone with an information need, whether they are connected with St. Mary's University or not. Again, queries from our students, faculty and staff are given priority if there are time constraints, but usually all queries are answered expeditiously.
Travel is one of my hobbies. The picture of me at the right was taken on the Continental Divide in Monarch Ski Area, Colorado, one of my favorite places in the world, in February, 2008.
On my personal home page (www.kathyamen.net) you can find my personal web projects, including my father's World War II Journal, pictures from our Peruvian and Hawaiian vacations, Soccer Geography, movie reviews, and more.
