*Final Report of the Federal Trade Commission's Advisory Committee on Online Access and Security. Report can be viewed/downloaded in PDF or Word formats. There are also links to individual statements and to earlier drafts of the report on this web site.

*The District Court's Memorandum and Order in the Microsoft case is available in either HTML or PDF on GPO Access. A comprehensive Microsoft case site is also offered by the Justice Department.

* State of the World's Children. 1999 edition from UNICEF (United Nations Children's Fund) contains narrative and statistical information.

* Students' Report of School Crime: 1989 and 1995. Reports of a survey conducted by the Bureau of Justice Statistics and National Center for Education Statistics. PDF and ASCII versions. The Library also has a paper copy of this report. The call number is: J 29.2:SCH 6/2, in the documents stacks.


* Economic Reports of the President. This page from GPO Access offers links reports from 1995 to the present (searchable back to 1996) which can be downloaded in PDF format or as ASCII text. There are also paper copies of these reports in the Library: the latest one is on Reserve, with others in the stacks at PR.

*ECommerce Advisory Commission. Click on "Press Room" for a link to their findings, made public in March, 2000.

* The social impact of the Asian financial crisis. Report prepared by analysts at the International Labor Organization; the entire report may no longer be available online (3/30/2000)

*North American Free Trade Agreement information page from the office of the U.S. Trade Representative.


*A Broken System: Error rates in Capital Cases, 1973-95. This study on capital convictions by a Columbia Univ. professor isn't exactly a government publication, but it was conducted at the request of a Senate Committee. The report is offered at the web site of The Justice Project, an advocacy group.

*Beijing +5 official site. This site gives background information on the condition of women in the world, plus press releases, statements and other documents produced by the special session of the UN General Assembly concerning Gender Equity, which was held June 5-9, 2000.

* Country Reports on Human Rights Practices. Links to reports from 1993-99; follow the link to the current site for more recent reports. These annual reports meet a statutory requirement that countries receiving U.S. aid be surveyed as to their human rights records. Information is also available for countries which do not receive aid. Reports are prepared by the State Dept. and are also available in paper form in the Academic Library documents stacks; call number is Y 4.F 76/1-15: .

*Cox report (formally known as the Report of the Select Committee on U.S. National Security and Military/Commercial Concerns with the People's Republic of China) from GPO Access.

*The City College of New York's documents librarian has compiled a marvelous listing of government websites (from several countries) dealing with the D-Day invasion, whose 60th anniversary is celebrated this year. CCNY also has link collections pertaining to a couple of other important anniversaries this year: Brown v. Board of Education (1954) and the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

*Mitchell report on Palestinian-Israeli violence (officially, the Sharm el-Sheikh Fact Finding Committee). This page provides links to an HTML copy of the report.

* Project Megiddo. FBI report on potential for domestic terrorism in anticipation of the new millennium.This report was "out of print" on the internet for some time and is currently available through this page from the Center for Studies on New Religions. 

* Report on Gulf War Illnesses from the House Committee on Government Reform and Oversight, Human Resources Subcommittee.
Report of the Special Assistant for Gulf War Illnesses on pyridostigmine bromide (PB) and its possible relationship to Gulf War Syndrome. General site of the Assistant's Office has related information.

* Report of the Panel to Review Sexual Misconduct Allegations at the Air Force Academy. The report is a large PDF file.

* Secretary of the Army's Senior Review Panel Report on Sexual Harassment--(this report is not currently available online, as best I can find.)

* Newly declassified documents from the National Security Archive accompanying the Taylor Commission report, which investigated the Bay of Pigs incident.

*Report of the Panel on U.N. Peace Operations. This site includes not only the full report, a summary and recommendations, but also a collection of background and factual information about the UN's peace missions.

*No Gun Ri Report. This site has links to separate PDF files for summary, individual chapters of the report, and appendices.

*USS Cole Commission report. This link is to an executive summary, supplemented by the unclassified findings and recommendations.

*Shoot-Down in Peru. This National Security Archive site features full-text declassified documents from 1994 concerning U.S.-Peruvian tracking of drug activity.

*U.S. National Security Strategy. The latest version of our national security policy statement (PDF format).

*The Commission on the Intelligence Capabilities of the U.S. Regarding Weapons of Mass Destruction has made their report available. From this page you can access individual chapters in either PDF or HTML (web page) formats. There is also a link to download the entire report as a PDF file. *A Decade of Deception and Defiance: Saddam Hussein's Defiance of the United Nations. PDF version of report to accompany President Bush's Sept. 12 speech at the UN.

*Department of Justice Investigation of Recent Allegations Regarding the Assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Available in HTML with PDF and JPEG attachments, this is the report released in early June, 2000.

*Dole-Mitchell report on the Independent Counsel Statute. From the Brookings Institution.

*Electoral College information. This is not a government site, but it was recommended by Grace York, Documents Librarian at the Univ. of Michigan and a bright star in the electronic information heavens. It gives information on how states choose electors and whether they are "bound" or not.
