Most of the meeting time was taken up with Kathy's review of the Federal Depository Library Conference, held two weeks ago in Arlington, Virginia.

Other business and announcements:

Camille got Palo Alto's self-study done and we will all keep fingers crossed that the inspectors won't be looking for a San Antonio holiday in the fall. It should be a few years before self-studies come up for any of us again.

Kathy has a couple of old documents to offer (sorry, don't have SuDocs):

• A general account of the development of methods of using atomic energy for military purposes under the auspices of the U.S. government, 1940-45. by H.D. Smyth.
• Engineers of the southwest Pacific, Vols. 1,3,6-8. 1951.

Norma suggests that we work on including some basic census location information in our Key Docs list. Trinity has recently compiled a detailed handout on their holdings of older census material, which is extensive, and we suspect the Public Library probably has a big collection also. Everyone agreed that this would be a good addition to the list, and doable if we don't try to get too detailed. Think about your library's census holdings over the summer and of ways that we might display the information.

In what must be a first for our organization, we attempted to set an entire academic year's worth of meetings in advance. From among the institutions represented, we got volunteer hosts for the first several meetings, and "drafted" a couple of absent parties for later meetings. Of course these "invitations to host" are subject to confirmation by the libraries involved, and times can certainly be modified for the host's convenience. We hope by setting dates in advance more people can attend; plus, now we don't have to worry about doing it again for a whole year!

• September 25, 9:00 a.m. Palo Alto College. "Business" meeting, election of officers.
• November 6, 9:00 a.m. St. Mary's Academic Library. Demo of ERIC full-text pilot database (more information in FDLC round-up).
• December 11, 10:30 a.m. Trinity University. Traditional Christmas lunch meeting.
• February 12, 9:00 a.m. San Antonio Public (?).
• March 26, 9:00 a.m. UTSA (?).
• May 7, 9:00 a.m. San Antonio College. Report on FDLC.
