America Responds to Terrorism. USA.gov's compilation of links to government pages dealing with the events of Sept. 11 and aftermath, homeland security, war in Iraq, etc.   America's War against Terrorism: World Trade Center/Pentagon Terrorism and Aftermath. A very comprehensive site from the University of Michigan with links to information on the attacks, previous terrorism episodes, background on the Middle East and other countries which have been or may be involved in the news, and background research on terrorism in general.
Foreign Terrorist Organizations. State Dept. list of currently designated terrorist organizations, along with detailed criteria for establishing such designations.   Center for Defense Information Terrorism page. Non-partisan group emphasizes analysis of terrorism-related issues.
GAO (Government Accountability Office) reports on terrorism, from 1979 to the present.   Findlaw: War on Terrorism. This page provides links to current criminal and civil cases arising out of the Sept. 11 attacks, as well as background cases dealing with terrorist activities.
Confronting Terrorism. This page from the State Dept.'s America.gov—Telling America's Story includes texts of all official statements arranged chronologically and by broad topic, a photo gallery, and links to background information.   September 11 Source Books. The National Security Archive at George Washington University brings together existing documents dealing with terrorism in general as well as specific attacks and threats.
    Terrorism Background and Threat Assessments. Links to resources provided by the Federation of American Scientists.
  Terrorism Knowledge Base. This database is maintained by the Memorial Institute for the Prevention of Terrorism in Oklahoma City. It contains information on terrorist acts, both carried out and prevented, all over the world.
