GPO
Access
GPO Access is a collection of searchable databases of government information. It includes recent years of the Federal Register, Congressional Record, Code of Federal Regulations, Congressional Bills, and much more. At the main page (linked above) you can choose among different general categories of information such as "Legislative," "Executive," etc., browse the "A-Z Resource List," or use one of the quick links to specific popular resources such as Ben's Guide, or a specific database, such as the . There are also quick links to the most popular databases such as the Code of Federal Regulations and the Congressional Record.
But if you don't know which database to choose, use the "Search Across Multiple Databases" page, where you can search more than one database at once. Be aware, however, that the most recent year of the Federal Register is the default database selected on this page. If you don't want your search to include this database, you must go to it on the list and de-select it.
There is a guide to searching GPO Access at the Reference Desk. In addition, the help files at GPO Access are excellent, and there are other searching guides available on the Internet:
