NOTE: Beginning in October, 1999, this list of Documents Received was no longer be updated with new receipts or corrections. All new documents appear in the Library's online catalog. We also will be working to move many of our older holdings to the catalog over the next few years. If you cannot find a document listed here, try looking for it in the online catalog. Some older documents (received before 1991) are not listed in either of these places, but rather in the card file by the Reference Desk. If you are not in the San Antonio area, use this page to locate a Depository Library near you; they may have the documents you need. |
Some of these publications may be available online at GPO Access or at the Dept. of Labor, the Library of Congress or the NLRB
Quick jumps to SuDoc classification sections:
A • C • D • E • F • G • H • I • J • L • M • N • P • S • T • V • X • Y
This is a listing in Superintendent of Documents (SuDocs) classification number order of the documents received by the Blume Library since 1991 from the Labor Department (L), the Library of Congress (LC), and the Labor Relations Board (LR). To look for a particular SuDocs number in this list, use your browsers "Find" function. If searching for the complete number does not produce a result, try just the first part of the number, then browse down the list to the number you need.
The Library is NOT a complete depository for U.S. Government publications; we currently select about 40% of the publications available to depository libraries. There are other libraries in the San Antonio area which may have some documents that we do not. Consult this San Antonio Area Depository Libraries page for information on these libraries and documents contact persons.
In the listing below, the SuDocs number for a title appears on one line with an abbreviated title of the document next to it. If no notation follows the SuDocs number then the document was received in the Blume Library in paper format and can be found in the documents stacks on the main floor of the Library. If a MF follows the SuDocs number, the document is in microfiche. Government microfiche is kept in cabinets at the west end of the main floor of the Library. If a CD follows the number, the document is a CD-ROM. All of the CDs, and some paper publications, are on reserve and can be checked out from the main desk. (The word RESERVE should follow the title of a reserved item.) If the note see card file for holdings follows the number, the title indicated is a serial, and complete holdings information can be found in the card file near the Reference Desk. A librarian can check this file for you; call 210/436-3508 or send an email here. We are trying to get more complete holdings information into this web listing, as an ongoing project.
NOTE: Because of the large number of entries and the fact that titles are not always entered verbatim, we do not recommend using these listings for title keyword searching. Find the SuDocs classification number for a document you need in another source and then consult these lists to determine if we received that particular item. If you need assistance, call the Reference Desk at 210/436-3508 or email the Documents Librarian at kamen@stmarytx.edu.
