- Alphabetical Mineral Reference
- For each mineral information is given on chemical composition, colors, crystallography, hardness, density, fracture, and other special characteristics.
- American Geophysical Union Journals
- Tables of contents and article abstracts from the three most recent issues of all AGU journals except Eos and Earth in Space.
- Athena Mineralogy
- Mineral lists (IMA approved mineral names and varieties names, updated middle 1997) sorted either alphabetically or arranged systematically, chemical compositions, images of minerals, etc.

- Searchable index to GSA journals, books, and maps.
- Geological Time Machine
- Click on a time period and get a full text description
- GeoRef Preview Database (American Geological Institute)
- Searchable citations to recent geosciences publications prior to their inclusion in the full GeoRef database.
- Map Machine (National Geographic)
- Map Machine's Atlas allows users to click on a world map or on continent or country menus to retrieve country maps, with concise information and flags.
- MapQuest
- Interactive maps, zoomable from the street to the national level, city-to-City directions and door-to-door directions for major metropolitan areas calculated from street addresses, and personalized maps (with free registration)
- National Environmental Publications Information (EPA)
- Searchable database of publications on the environment from the EPA with full text (images) of the documents attached.
- Perry-Castaneda Library Map Collection
- Index of online maps including detailed maps of Texas counties but all areas of the world and historical maps are included.
- Rainbow of Gems
- Information gemstones including chemical composition, color, optics, hardness, crystal structure, specific gravity, images of the gems, etc.
