Bible Timelines
A Bible timeline provides a
chronology
of historical events that occurred during the time of the Bible. A
timeline
provides a visual representation of when certain events occurred in
relation
to other events.
Bible timelines
can be found
in several Reference sources located on the second (Main) floor of the
Blume Library. These are a few examples:
- The
Collegeville Bible Time-Line.
Collegeville, MN: The Liturgical Press, 1993. (Ref BS 635.2 .D69 1993)
- This work is
frequently a required
text for the TH 2301 course.
- HarperCollins
Bible Commentary.
Ed. James L. Mays. San Francisco: HarperSanFrancisco, 2000. (Ref BS
491.2
.H37 2000)
- Timelines
are
located in the
front and back of the volume.
- The
Revell
Bible Dictionary.
Old Tappan, NJ: Fleming H. Revell, 1990. (Ref BS 440 .R484 1990)
- Under the
entry "Chronology,"
there are several pages outlining a chronology of historical Biblical
events.
